I changed mine with help from Matt. Basically, the center console pops out, the switches for the hazard and roof have to be disconnected, and then the old boot slipped out and the new one slipped in. There are a series of plastic hooks attached to the boot housing in the center console. The tricky part is sliding the boot into place so that the boot is attached to the hooks.
I changed out my knob too...just tape the bolt house at the bottom of the knob and gently twist. It's a total job of about 15 minutes.
