Wink 2010 Saint Pete Grand Prix

I wanted to get the word out in the subforums. If you want to be involved, we are trying to put together an RV and space to make the event the best it can be.

If you have not been in the event in the past, it is an excellent experience.

Seems to me that if people are interested in either the parade or decal programs, they've already posted in the main FL forum.

I, for one, cannot devote the time (nor the $100) needed in St Pete that weekend for any of parade lap events (photo shoots the days before etc) nor can I pay $50 to put decals on my S2000, and not attend the race.
I think alot of Orlando people are in the same boat.

Event pass for two, parking, and food for $50 bucks, seems like a good deal to me

Let's factor this down like fractions and we will see it's about the $$. And that would be correct..it unfortunately takes $$ to make a wonderful experience.

I put a good amount in the kitty last year anyway and still felt I fell short in contributing. Why? Last year guys and gals, I saw all those trips back out to get more food, ice, drinks, etc., etc. I know for a fact folks reached in their own pockets AGAIN to make sure the experience didn't stop. They could afford this no more than many of you are touting, believe me. But what they do have is a conviction and commitment to this commuity that is far deeper than their pockets.

Now for fodder you can blast away at me for: Deeds not words folks. Sometimes it is time to put your money where your mouth is. Do you think I am a Rockefeller? Get real.
If you want to donate more (money/time/food/drink/whatever) to that event, well to you and everyone else who chooses to donate.

As I said before, I simply cannot donate time and/or money, and I think there are others that are in the same situation as I am in.

I hope you and others have a great weekend at the Grand Prix.

Money is tight for everyone this year. Plus like Zdave said in the above post if people are interested in the SPGP they will just post in the main forum.

I have never understood the point of having a post about events in every sub forum when it is posted in the main forum. Maybe I should start posting the Orlando meets in all the forums.

Till then I am locking this up.
