Default Wheels

I am looking to pick up a set of 17" wheels and was sure someone posted a set of AP2 V2 wheels available but now can't find the post. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks, I hunted around and found the post I was thinking about (PNW) were gone so after looking at limited local offerings I bought some RPF1's from an owner in NC.

My little research found that AP2V1 are easy because there are repo wheels on the market, AP2V2 (what I wanted) are hard to find, and AP2V3 are not offered that often. Prices really vary.

Many AP1 owners soaked up available AP2 wheels so the are simply not as common as I would have thought. My AP1 wheels are very beat up and many hipo tires are not offered in 16s anymore so I put some all season tires (RE970AS) on and will use them in the winter. Will mount RE11A's on the new wheels for summer.

Sorry I missed your wheels but if you post them in the sale forums they will go pretty fast.

When I got these wheels the PC was flaking so after getting a fair adjustment from the seller I went looking at wheel shops for a budget refinish. I wanted top notch work at a good price and SUPRISE, the best shop I found for me is here in Vancouver.

Got the wheels stripped and powered coated with the color I wanted (and a 20% gloss cover coat baked on) as well as a very cost effective Tire Rack order so the finished product looks great and was 20% less than anyone else!

So if you need wheel refinishing / repair / or find some Tire Rack offering you want this is the place to go...

WheelKraft @ 1417 NE 76th in Vancouver 360-546-1799. http://www.wheelkraftnw.com/

I liked the people so much that I will take Julie's car over to fix the curb rash (even though she will do it again).

How much was the total cost? When I called about having some wheels done they wanted $150 per wheel!

Strip, repair, and powder coat/seal is probably $150 full retail but they will work with you. Mine were stripped on the face and honed on the mating surface but barrels were left, and no repairs were done. I was flexible on schedule so they could work mine into a larger shoot/bake cycle. Cost was well less than $100 each.

And they buy from Tire Rack cheaper than web retail and mount/balance cheaper than where I was going.

I would visit and talk your specific needs and maybe do better than a phone quote. Did a good job for me.

Great, thank you for the info! I will most likely be going through them now as it's too bloody cold to paint myself Can you post some pictures of what they did?

Edit*

Not workable. The lady on the phone would not move anywhere from 150 per wheel, regardless if it had damage or not. $600 seems a bit steep for repair of two wheels for slight curb age and repaint.
