We made a concentrated effort to avoid much of the 1 Hwy. My only intent from the begining was to do that small section from Legget to Ft. Bragg as those looked like the roads with the most excitement in them.

I will probably go back and do the entire length of the 1 Hwy some day, just to say I did it.
Doug, the section of Hwy 1 from Leggett to Ft Bragg is the very best. McKenzie has nothing on it. The first 22 miles starting at Leggett is so amazingly aggressive. Brad was just about ready to hurl, I never seen him so pale before...it was great. I loved it.

Let me know when you're ready to do all of Hwy 1, We just did it to Ft. Bragg, then cut back over on Hwy 20, which was a lot of fun too. But I've always wanted to do ALL of Hwy 1.

We were on CA-1 down to Valley Ford where we missed a right hand bend in the road and accidentally found ourselves back on 101. I want to drive that stretch just north of the bridge.

For those of you who want to know what it was like to drive from the meet location to Honda for HC2, here you go. I chopped up and compiled a 5 min video of the drive. Enjoy.

If you go to Honda Tuning's website they have the article and more photos from the event that you can see in larger scale.
