Running without a front plate?

Well, Larry, I am glad that you didn't have any minor criminal problems when you were pulled over for no front plate!
When I read the story I thought to myself "I am glad I have a front plate" they will never be able to pull me over for that violation. F-ing
Of course that won't stop them for pulling me over for speeding, agressive driving or being a white boy in the wrong part of town at the wrong time of night (hint, hint Brandon).

I was pulled over the other day for lacking a front plate but was only given a warning. I was also told that my SLIGHTLY tinted, plastic rear license plate cover is illegal because it "makes it harder to read the license plate". Does anyone know about this??

Apparenty the nice (he didn't give you a ticket!) officer does.
I've heard that you can be ticketed for having a dirty plate! Anything that obscures it is a no-no. Some people like to hide the fact that their plates are expired.
Sounds like you wre lucky! Of course you've put your front plate back on, right?

Holy shit, I knew that guy. Worked with him for a while.
Wow.
EDIT: And I find the story suspect. I don't get the weekly paper, so does anybody have the rest of it? He wasn't the kind of guy to pull a gun on anybody without serious provocation.

I must have missed this post. Wow! I have driven the S in Upstate NY for 2 years without a front plate and no front plate here for 4 months. I think most officers wont pull you over for just a front plate. I see numerous Porsches, Corvettes other sports cars w/o a front plate every single day, so it seems like this was a pretty random incident. He must have been driving aggressively etc. when the trooper was around and of course pulled a gun on him. Sad way to go though. I am not planning on putting my front plate on due to this incident anyways. I will plead ignorance if pulled over and show the officer the plugs in the front bumper and tell him that the car came like that from the dealer (in NY). If I get pulled over 3 times and ticketed, I may put the plate back on.
