Poker Night
#2
I asked this last year and no one seemed interested
Elizabeth and I both play Poker, played with three different groups when we lived in Arkansas (actually met each other playing poker ... I still owe her that twenty-five bucks from the first game ...)
We also would like to host such a gathering and have a pretty good table for it.

Well how many people do you want, I have at least two that would come with me, that makes about six? Im thinking we could at least get a full table and maybe another, i could bring an extra table if your willing to host. I say we pick a day and plan it. Texas hold em right?

We played all kinds of games, but lots of Texas Hold'em. If it's at my house I would prefer to start with Oregon S2kI peeps before inviting many strangers to my home to gamble.
We always played small stakes. One group played quarters with max individual bet of like $3 per hand - college students Another group played something like $20 / night. We've only ever played where you can leave whenever - never a "buy-in play for everything" situation. That way you don't have to be a total winner or total loser for the night - you can just play until you're done.
I'm stepping out here without conversing with my wife, but we could seat 8 comfortably at our dining table. It's actually kind of a big table so you'd have to stand up to rake in your winnings, which is always fun ;D
I can't give you any dates right now - need to verify with the boss lady first.

I'd be in for sure. Just let me know when. I'd just keep it simple. $20 buy in texas hold 'em. That way everybody knows up front it wont cost ya anymore that $20 for the night.
