Please post recommended drives
If you have a great drive you recommend please post.
I have enjoyed the drive up to Mt St Helens (Johnston Ridge) via WA Hwy 504; Windy Ridge; Timberline via 26, back via 35, over Hood River Bridge to WA Hwy 14.

The loop around Crater Lake is pretty cool - of course you have to drive all the way to the lake to get there!
Also, the loop around Hagg lake is decent. Just don't go when all the locals are putting their boats in the lake on a busy weekend.
Bell road in Washington/Yamhill county is my favorite local route. You go 99W from Portland, pass through Sherwood and about two miles south - turn right on Bell road - there's a sign. Easy to get lost, but you'll get dumped back onto a bigger road no matter which way you go. Driving around the Carlton/Yamhill/Gaston area is fun too. Watch out for locals on Bell - the word has gotten out and they're not too happy about it.
