PDX (West Side) Body Shop Recommendations Needed
Seems that the deer and I just don't get along...
Last year at Summit Point, coming out of Turn 9, in the S2K. Tonight, along Skyline in the CR-V.
The damage is minor -- the deer hit the passenger side front bumper. Looks like the quarter panel will have to be replaced, with possible minor damage to the hood and passenger door (both from the bumper being pushed back half an inch).
As many of you know, I'm new to PDX. I don't have a clue who does good bodyshop work. Anyone have any recommendations?
With thanks,
CB

Thanks, Will. I appreciate the suggestion. Another place on Canyon Road -- Precision Body and Paint -- was also recommended to me. Has anyone heard anything about it?
With thanks to you all,
Christopher

The only place I have taken my car to (not the s2000) is to sams auto body. They are on 50th and powell though. They do some great work. Recomended from my uncle whome works for all state. He is the guy who goes around to all the body shops and makes sure they aren't srewing them .
I dont have any experience w/ any on canyon roads though...

Thanks, guys. I spent some time at Precision Body and Paint and got very good vibes from the guys there. Lots of high-end cars. Huge (and modern and very clean) facility. And a couple of newly repaired 911's that enabled me to see what they do. So, I've made a decision. It also helps that they're close. But thanks to you all for your help/suggestions. I'll try to post some feedback once the car is done (it goes in later this week).
Best,
CB

I've had great experiences with Sam's autobody as well, but glad to know Precision is a good shop on this side of town....sorry to hear about the deer incident.
Skyline has plenty of deer....and bicylcists, both of which seem to come out of nowhere and can do some serious damage! =)

Thanks for the sympathy. I really do feel cursed, as this is the second brand new Honda I've smacked up from hitting a deer. And I was only driving 30mph because it was misty and wet, and I was worried about hitting one, when this thing jumped out of the woods without warning....
In any case, the damage was mild (as was the damage to the S2K at Summit Point last year), but I'm thinking it might be time to start eating venison and to buy a late 1980's pickup.
