To Paint or not to Paint
I got my replacement front lip today (none CF), so I will be taking it to the paint shop in the near future to get it painted. The thought of painting my hood has cross my mind again.
Especially with the recent addition of the Painted Hardtop, I'm beginning to lean towards painting to hood too.
The upside is that, since I've pretty much had that hood since 2002, its taken a lot of abuse, with lots of rock chips and such, so by painting it, the should would fill all of them in, then sanding it smooth before painting. The downside is because of that same exact reason, which will cost me a bit more money and time.
I'm sorta of already leaning toward one idea already, but nothing is final until I actually take my car to the paint shop, so everyone's opinion would be greatly appreciated!

I'm gonna have to vote no paint. I think it looks hot and matches the black of your top (behind the windows) really nicely, but seeing as you've had it for going on 7 years now...I can see why you may want a change. I'm sure painted would looks hot too though.

I don't really understand the attraction to exposed carbon fiber. To me it just weakens the appears of sleek lines and make the car look rough overall. Though I don't think the hood has to be painted to match the car. Black would also look good.
Personally, though, white S2000s with a white top and white wheels are one of the prettiest looks for the S2000, from my perspective.

I have to vote paint it but leave some exposed CF near the vents. Maybe have the paint fade from CF right at the vents to white paint headign towards the windshield, if that makes sense
I like accents of CF over full pieces of CF
Too bad my mirrors did not work out for you. You are in need of some nice CF mirrors to go with your theme

Leaving the edges of the vents unpainted and blend it out looks really good, IMHO.

If I were you i would leave it the way it is....cf hood blend in very nice on your Mugen hardtop..... plus it would get heavy from that additional paint you'll be putting on
