I used high temp flat black spray paint from Home depot... looks clean and not thick and shiny like the caliper paint that you can buy from Autozone. This is primarily used for BBQ's and fireplaces so it can stand the heat pretty well and goes on very thin.
I like them to hide behind the wheels as opposed to jumping out like some of the red and yellow ones I have seen.

If that's the look your going for then it seems to be easy enough to do... I just don't like how much they make our tiny little brakes stand out- too thick and shiny. I wanted a subdued look so I went with the high temp paint in flat black.
