Default March Drive - Cruzin Clark Rally

Cruzin Clark Rally Drive–

...............................

... ...

Welcome

Join us in our inaugural TIME/DISTANCE/OBSERVATION rally.

This is a half day competitive drive in and around northern Clark County.

We will gather at the starting line, supply each driver-navigator team with a list of directions, and finish at an eatery for food, laughs, and beverages (and maybe a plaque or two).

It is strongly recommended that you have a navigator
because your drive instructions will include blanks that will be filled in with observations made when prompted to do so.

... ...

This event is more of a solo event than we have ever had before. Your cars will be sent off from the starting line in five minute intervals, so you can't follow the guy in front of you and you will have to pay attention to your drive instructions.

... ...

As mentioned, this is a time/distance/observation rally.

The organizers have established the target time to complete the course (following ALL posted traffic regulations).

They know the exact mileage, and all of the correct entries that you will be adding into your rally instruction forms.

There will be penalties for too fast or too slow, wrong mileage, and wrong entries. The car with the fewest penalties wins!

The top three cars will be awarded prizes along with the "Tail-End Charlie" and everyone will receive an attendance keepsake.

...............................

Sign-ups start at 8:00 am
  • Sign release form
  • Pay the $10 drive fee
  • Pull your start position from a hat
  • Receive the drive directions
Drivers Meeting Promptly at 8:30am for briefing and questions

First car out at 9:00 am SHARP!

Start Location…

Note: This is going to be a “rain-or-shine” drive. It will not be moved to the following weekend.

It's simple. It's fun. And we're only charging $10 per car to support the winner’s hardware and stuff. Any left over funds will go to the next D and D and spent there.

This drive will be limited to 24 cars, and as per our new guidelines the sign-ups will close once we get 80% confirmed entries (19 cars). Then reopen just before the drive to help any last minute folks.

So come join us, and maybe you will drive home with a little extra “BLING”.

Thanks,

Ken and Dave

Note: This is the Oregon S2000 Owners Forum.

As such, our drives are exclusively for S2000s and their owners in Oregon and S.W. Washington.

Our drives are not open to the general public, which includes those who used to own an S2000, hope to own one, those with similar cars, or those who think the drive we've put together sounds fun and would like to tag along, etc.

We are not trying to be snobby here, but are trying to clarify what we are about – The fun and adventure of Honda S2000 ownership.

Thanks

Amy,

Although not required, a navagator is highly recommended.

It would be very difficult to drive safely while reading the route instructions, writing down the observations, tracking the odometer and re-setting the odometer all at the same time.

best,
Dave
