Default March 13-14th Team Continental school at PIR

Some of the Seattle gang are considering attending this school. Would any of the locals be interested in attending?

...the Team Continental school is one week earlier on March 7th at PIR (Sunday).

The weekend of March 13-14 is the IRDC school at Pacific Raceways.

I'm considering doing either one, or maybe even both, since they are on weekends.

The gang seems to have settled upon the March 13th and 14th dates at Pacific Raceways. You should come up for the event and party with us on Saturday night.

Sounds good for a weekend trip. It will only be my second trip to PR, so I'll probably be going.

Anyone else in PDX interested in going? The upcoming March events are very convenient because they are on weekends. Later in the year, you'll probably have to take a day off from work, because track-time is only available on weekdays.

There are also 2 upcoming Driver Schools at Portland International Raceway, both on weekends in March.

March 7 (Sun): Team Continental - $195
March 27 (Sat): Cascade Sports Car Club - $149

I'm going to the Mar. 27th school since I'm a member of Cascade, but both schools will give a great experience for first-timers.

I'm probably in for the CSCC event at PIR on the 27th. Think the S needs new rear tires though, gotta figure out if I just want to replace them or switch to a different tire altogether.

Anyone know of a good place to get a quality helmet?

Cool! Hope to see you at PIR with Cascade!

I bought my helmet from Race-Central. I don't have the store address since they moved to the Clackamas Town Center area.

Alternatively, if you don't have sizing "problems" like me (no need for XXL), you can check out Competition Motorsports. They have a large selection of Bell Helmets. Their store is just north of Lloyd Center near Emmanual Hospital.

Or I guess you can go the motorbike helmet route.
