Lincoln City here we come!
Last weekend Debbie and I "pre-drove" the two day Lincoln City / Oregon Beach drive. 
It is going to be a great one!
The highlights of Saturday will be the Evergreen Aviation Museum, McMenamin's Hotel Oregon and, of course, Lincoln City.
The aviation museum will be fun. There are a lot of old jets parked outside the museum and we'll be able to park by them for photos.
With good weather we will be able to eat on the rooftop dining area of the Hotel Oregon and sample some of McMenamin's finest.
Lincoln City has many things to offer - there will be lots to do there.
The highlights of Sunday will be the spectacular beach views from Boiler Bay to Newport, the Yaquina Head lighthouse and the nice drive back to Portland.
We will have the opportunity to tour the lighthouse as well as set up for a nice photo shoot in the parking lot in front of the lighthouse.

If you are even CONSIDERING going on this drive, be sure to make your hotel reservations NOW! If you change your mind you can always cancel within 24 hours without penalty.

Keep in mind that Sunday is the Creme de la Creme. If you can get only one day of childcare, make it for Sunday.
The drive to Lincoln City is not that great. It is congested and slow and very touristy once we get past McMinnville. So, as I mentioned the highlight of Saturday is visiting the aviation museum.
Sunday we have the drive down the coastline with three stops to enjoy the surf and for a nice photo opportunity. Then a beautiful drive back to Portland.
It is a two hour drive straight to Lincoln City. If you are going to join us on Sunday for the drive, you would want to leave about 6:00 am and catch us at the hotel before we leave at 8:30.
