Funny when I drive down in the inner harbor where you will be arriving and out by my house I sometimes get flipped over to AT&T in Port Angels..., very strange. You just might get service over here at least while you are close to the water.

You probably should ensure that your credit cards will work here as well ATM although I don't know why they wouldn't. I used mine while in the US last year.

Hey and just saying if you guys/gals love Victoria..., there is always the Poker Run in July. You're all welcome to come back for that. 72 cars and 127 people with S2000's and NSX's.

I routinely call my credit card companies when leaving the country.

There is nothing worse than having your credit card frozen while you are out of the country.

One time Debbie and I were in Thailand and at the airport getting ready to leave. I had gotten rid of all of my Thai money, but found that we had to pay a "tax" to leave the airport. When I tried my card in an ATM it was rejected and the account was frozen. We didn't know how to use their phone system to call the bank and explain, so were up the creek.

What you do is to call the Customer Service number on the back of your credit card(s). Ask for the Security Department. Let them know the dates you will be in Canada.

Many banks will not accept this type of call unless you are within 24 to 48 hours of your departure from the US, so do this on Friday.

You can forget your toothbrush......

You can forget to check the air in your spare tire.......

You can forget your sunscreen......

But whatever you do, DON'T forget to bring your passport!
