Hebo drive
I did not want to steal Sonil's thunder about this drive...but I will start and he can chime in and give a little recap.
The day was supposed to be nice. The rain slowed at times, but never stopped. We met up in Beaverton and headed out in the direction of Spirit Mountain, we made a quick pit stop at the casino. After our break, we headed out to Hebo Mountain, we learned not to trust Google for directions, it wanted us to go up some roads that might be navigatable with a Subi, but not our cars.
We returned to real roads and arrived at Jim's suggestion for the road up the mountain. It was a great road, a little wet and very littered with small branches and needles. This made the zip up and back down a little interesting.
This road was great, when I plan the next Kasino Kruz, this will def. be on the plan. It is a very curvy road and very fun. I highly suggest to anyone interested in a fun road in that area.
I only snapped a couple pics at the top of the mountain. They do not show the amount of crap caking the sides of our cars.
Look AP2 and AP1 in the same color.

Yes, fun drive up the mountain....once we found the right road. As far as going up the WRONG side of Mt. Hebo......don't try it unless you have Grave Digger Monster truck as your vehicle of choice. It was comical, in retrospect, to see 2 s2000s offroading through gravel and muck. I agree the ride up Hebo was a blast. Not only did we have to dodge twigs and branches blown on the road, but the odd small boulder here and there and puddles. We drove it a bit faster than we should have and tested the VSA on the way down (at least on my car). Definitely a summer drive to put on your list if you are in the coast area.
Many thanks to Garrett who helped me hard install my Passport 8500. After 1 hour he found a removable plastic cover directly under the steering wheel which certainly helped with access to the fuse area. Must be a AP2 thing.
Sorry I'll miss the next drive, but look forward to next spring and meeting others in the group.
