Default Hardtop Locks

Thought this might interest some of the locals. The design looks very clean without any sort of hanging locks like previous designs companies had explored.

Nice find Hiep. Have you ever seen hardtop locks in person? They look to be a pretty good security measure.

Has anyone had a HT stolen?

I have not heard of one in the 3 years I have been on the board.

I'll deff be getting these. My S is parked in the garage at night but everytime I leave my car in a public parking spot for an extended period of time, I know I could walk out to my car missing the hardtop.

the only ones i have seen in person before were on a miata, but they werent designed like this. they latched on to the rear latches and they sort of came off of the actual lock where you would need to use a normal key, almost like a real small lock for a suitcase i just thought this looked a bit cleaner since it is integrated in the design thats all. it sounds like some members are prepared to buy two, one for each side, but i feel like one is enough. also if you got one for each side, you would have to have two separate keys according to them.

i dont know of anyone personally, but there have been postings of members that have came out to their hardtop stolen. its probably not that common, but i guess its just a little added peace of mind.
