Please take time to email these guys from their website. I think our community can benefit from such a product.

I don't think I understand. Have people had their hardtops stolen? How is that happening? Are they leaving their car alone for long periods with the windows down or are the windows being broken?
The Miata's hardtop has external rear latches which makes it rather easy to get started removing it. I don't think that is an issue with the S2000 since all the latches are on the inside.
EDIT:
Apparently the latches on a Miata are on the inside. I'm surprised their tops are being stolen and have never heard of this happening.

It's just another preventative measure. It's cheaper to pay for a broken window than for both window and hardtop. This little device is relatively cheap.

Stands to reason anything worth a buck can and will be stolen. These hard tops are worth thousands of dollars. Two guys with a hammer could have a top stolen in less than 30 seconds. Come to think of it the Silver AP1 that was just stolen in Clackamas had a hard top. Curious on how they stole the car. Perhaps the only thing left in parking space was a pile of broken glass. Who knows. But anything we can do to protect our cars I'm definitely interested in. Hard top locks are a great idea.
