Default Garret! Help - I need a translation!

Garret - you travel to China a lot. Maybe you can help me out here. I must be suffering from jet lag - I can't remember the correct translation:

This label is in my bathroom here at a hotel in Beijing -

Now is the the water WITH the melamine? Or is it the water off the water-collection tank on the roof? Will I be "safe" or "sorry" if I use this to brush my teeth?

My hosts were very excited to collect me from the airport and to take me up into the mountains for "northern farm cuisine". They were especially proud of the fact that this is the BEST place to get fish heads.

Well, actually they weren't bad. They also were excited for me to have "fresh" chicken (as opposed to "factory" chicken). When they ordered it, someone went out in the parking lot and chased down a chicken for us. "Squak....Squak....Squak........Eark......Thud ". Then they cooked it and chopped it up into delectable chunks - except for the feet and head which was left whole.

Naturally the "guest" was offered first crack at the chicken head:

Well I was just "a little too full" by that time, so I offered it to someone else.

The rest of the cuisine was interesting and pretty tasty! One item was a chopped veggie dish with little white things in it - fish eyes, of course!

Traveling is such great fun!

My aunt has had fish eyes before. She said there really wasn't any taste to them. Yuck!

I would have passed on the chicken head too.

I did not brush my teeth with any of the tap water while I was in China. I would advise you to do the same.

I am not sure exactly what "indirect drinking water" stands for.

I am glad you got there ok, and tell your hosts when they come to the US you are going to take them out for Milk Shakes - that would be good payback for them serving you things we don't eat.

I also think it is funny that everyone in the group thinks I travel to China a lot. I was there only once, but someday I will go back.

I am adventuresome......but only with my driving!

Woohoo! 80 mph!

I would love to go to China (Aisa really). I'm trying to persuade my mom to go to Hong Kong to visit my aunt.

My suggestion when traveling...don't use the tap water for brushing your teeth.

But the funniest thing about this post is that of all the Asians on this website, you ask Garret to translate...but then of course we all know that he's very Asian.

I speak Chinese...I can't read Chinese. But let me take a stab at translating those characters for you...hmmm, let me see... oh yeah, I got it: "Indirect Drinking Water", that's what it says.
