maybe ill give them a try..if you dont mind ..how much did they end up charging you for the removal ?

What is the purpose of removing the valve? What is the benefit I mean?

so the clutch catches faster instead of slipping everytime you engage

OP- I would help you as I did this to mine by myself but I am too far away I know you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself but it really is pretty easy if you follow the DIY here on S2ki. To be honest I did not feel that it was that big of a difference. You can tell it is gone but nothing to write home about

so i got an appointment at portland speed industries to get the delay valve removed ..ill let you guys know how it goes

It was a huge improvement for me once that dang CDV got tossed out of the car. It bugged the hell out of me when I take it towards redline in vtec ill feel the clutch slip and it wont grab. Now it grabs and makes the car really fun to drive again.

I was just referring to the ruggedness of the AP1 harder & more sports oriented.
The AP2 tranny is on my to do list but not in the near future
