Just stay away from the brush and you'll be a-ok, unless you want to use it on your tires.

What about the touch less car wash? Do you guys think those are just as bad as a regular car wash place?

I hand wash my S2000, but I take my daily driver to the touch less place on 185th.

IMO the touch less wash probably uses a stronger cleaner/soap. Although it may not cause swirl marks it will probably remove the wax, leaving the paint unprotected. Brian do you notice anything with your DD paint finish?

The only reasons I don't like the touchless washes is because they us harsh soaps and cleaners to make up for the lack of scrubbing devices, as well as this simple thought:

If your car has dirt on it and you take it to a touchless...where does the dirt go when it gets blasted by that high pressure jet? It's getting scrubbed against your paint until the jet moves far enough to blow it off the car.

Even worse. The high pressure jets can cause problem with the seals around the soft top/ hard top.

What apartment in Eugene do you live in? I live in Chase Village and they have a "car wash station" there that I always use. I'm sure you could drive up and use it if you wanted. There are so many residents there they would never know if you actually lived there or not.

No, not that I can tell, but I've probably only taken it there less than 10 times since I got the car in 05, rest of the time I hand wash.

Good to know though! I guess its only hand wash from now on for me! Well, maybe I'll take my truck through those still.
