Yay! If we plan far enough in advance maybe we could end up with a good group.

I'd be happy to look into it.
Trying to put together a week long (or extended weekend) trip could prove to be an interesting challenge, but certainly possible.

I would be game for a trip of this magnitude. I have been up and down the OR 101, and have been on the CA 101 from OR Border all the way to LA. Once in Santa Barbara, you may want to break away from the 101 and take Hwy 1 (PCH) instead. That keeps you on the coast.

I would suggest at least a week, so you can see everything that you want to see and not be hurried.

You know you can count me in since You, Amy and I have been talking about it.

If you plan it, they will come.

We could post up our stops with each group forum along the way and maybe meet up with them?

I would definitely want to take "the coast most road", and that is occasionally not 101. Lots of good examples, even in Oregon.

I would also want to give the regional groups a heads up that we're coming their way. Maybe have a lunch / dinner photo-op with them as we pass through their area.

I'm in. Let's plan it for mid-to late spring next year. I'll be getting my Special Olympics schedule before the end of the year, let's get the date then. I say plan for between Spring break and Summer vacation to make sure that there are less people on the highway. Like I said before, this is one trip that I've been wanting to take in the S since I bought it on Valentine's Day 2002...I've been waiting patiently for a LONG time.
