Klickitat Drive - Saturday August 19th 2023 Join Us for the sixth official drive of the 2023 season as we drive atop the lava fields of Central Oregon Drive time: 7.5 hours including lunch/stops and 349 miles
Join Us Saturday, August 19th for our sixthofficial drive of the 2023 season! Ok, so we realize there's much more to this than just the "Klickitat" but that's enough by itself, isn't it?! We promise that it's worth it! We will be meeting in East Vancouver before heading out for a day of canyon carving and views of some mountain scenery around the foothills of Mt. Adams and the gorge. Partway through, we will likely stop for some lunch in Hood River before continuing our journey through the Mt Hood area!
We’ll start out at the Black Bear Diner in Vancouver, WA! Please plan on arriving early. Optional breakfast at Black Bear for those wishing to attend. Once we depart, we’ll head east, along Highway 14 to enjoy some "tunnel VTEC" before breaking off into the hills near White Salmon!
Diverting over at BZ Corner, we'll experience some enjoyable and technical canyon roads into Glenwood. After that, a group favorite, coming down through the Klickitat River canyon.
A quick jump over the river will bring us to lunch in Hood River - TBD
