2014 Acura NSX The legend returns
I know that this vehicle is going to be pretty popular for a lot of us on here. I'm hoping this thread can be updated as more new and interesting info comes out. If anyone finds any new published articles, or actual pics of the production car post them up Looking forward to honda returning to its roots.
As of November 2010, the legendary NSX will make a return to the public world in 2014. (If the world doesn't end in 2012 )
Some things are already known
Unfortunately the rumored V10 5.4L power plant that was supposed to be in the HSV won't be used. Acura has recently patented a new V6 engine that will deliver up to 400 HP, making it a more ideal choice for the sports car once it is coupled to a combination of electric motors.
The new NSX will get a 3.5L V6 engine, most likely be offered in a factory supercharged version that will be coupled to the automaker’s proven SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) system. The SH-AWD system combines front-rear torque distribution control with independently regulated torque distribution to the left and right rear wheels
to freely distribute the optimum amount of torque to all four wheels in accordance with driving conditions.
Some raw numbers
0-60 time = 3.8 seconds
Top speed is over 200mph.
Price Tag: $150,000+
Competitors in class: Lexus LFA, Nissan GTR (as they should be )
It will be under the Acura brand in the US
The new NSX will feature a body composed of carbon fiber panels over an all-aluminum unit body frame, short overhangs, and a large wheelbase. The exterior will feature slick and elegant lines, a lowered ride, headlamps like no other Acura model in the past, and a rear wing
The interior will be defined by sportiness and elegance. There will not only be racing bucket seats, aluminum pedals, and a three-spoke steering wheel, but also numerous carbon fiber inserts and all the latest technologies

I hope it does make it to production. Although I cannot buy a new NSX, hopefully some existing owners will dump their 2002+ models, that I can then buy. Wishful thinking ...

Insert skepticism
I'll believe it when it happens Ira
While I'd to see a new Honda super car, Im not counting on seeing the day.
Anyhow I would've prefered the HSV-010 in street-legal form
Its a honda I say screw the AWD nonsense and give me something light with an engine that can really wind out
^
End rant
All in all, regardless of what I believe will happen, I hope they do release something sporty in the not too distant future
