2009 Oregon Caves / Redwoods Drive - pics
#21
Well, here is the link to my picasa album. I got tired of waiting on the S2Ki site to load pics.
Oregon Caves 2009
I took a lot that turned out somewhat ok, but a little blurry. I started playing with camera settings and was not real careful.
Thanks again, Larron for another stupendous trip.

I use it all the time and it works great!
Open your albums. Click on "Bulk Upload". A small Javascript box opens. Wait until it is finished. Move that box to the side of the screen.
Then in Windows Explorer, find the photos you want to upload. Highlight them and drag one to the upload box. Release the mouse button and a progress box pops up showing you the images being moved.
You may be trying to upload images that are too large. For the forum you should downsize everything to 72 dpi and about 5 inches high. That will also allow them to load faster when viewed.

I always seem to have a problem with the uploader if I try to do an upload that takes more than 3-4 minutes. I think there is some sort of timeout that can cause problems.
It's been really good lately though. I think it has more to do with my ISP upgrading their speed for ul/dl than anything

Photoshop/Elements have batch conversion tools (macro recording).
Point to a folder, tell it to run your resize macro, sit back and enjoy the flashing pictures

Amy and I had a great time. The few miles of twisties right before we arived at the chateu were great. Thats the first time ive driven the S, or any car like that. I had the biggest smile afterwards, I just hope I didnt hold you back at all Garret.
We'll deffinatly be out for more drives as soon as i can get the vacation time.
Who knows, maybe my work will do more mandatory time off as things slow in Q4 and Q1 of 2010 (they did that last year and this years spring) . Thatll make good of a bad thing at least.

We don't want anyone to go faster than they feel comfortable - don't let someone push you beyond your comfort level.

I ment to note this earlier - The staff at the hotel deserves a huge T
hey were awesome -
from the reserved parking right in front,
to the fast as can be expected check in considering they have to use the telegraph to get the credit card approval,
to the many many many trips downstairs to get ice for us,
to the waitstaff that stayed past closing for us to finish dinner (8:00 is a little early to close),
to the wait staff that openned up 1.5 hours early (6:00am is a little early to open up).
I was very pleased with the hotel choice and the staff was wonderful.
