Default Stroud or Pops Day Meet?

See https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=813664.

======================================

I know it's kinda short notice, but what do you all think about having a meet-up in Stroud on Saturday, September 4th? We could even do Sunday, September 5th if that works better for most. I was thinking maybe we could do this instead of a September dinner meet.

For those who don't know, Stroud is a little town located about half way between Tulsa and OKC. Click for map

What I had in mind was meet up for a late lunch at one of the local eateries (there aren't many choices in Stroud) and then maybe snap some and cruise back home via Route 66. Sorry if that sounds lame. If you have some ideas, feel free to share them!

So what do you think? Would you show up? If so, which day would you prefer?

Restaurant choices in Stroud:
Rock Cafe
Five Star BBQ & Steakhouse
MI Casa Mexican
Mazzio's

There's also Dan's Bar-B-Que Pit in Davenport.

Another option is Pops in Arcadia (good idea, Walt! )

Sounds good to me. Any of those days would work. I'm kinda with Audz on the food thing. I've been in a mood for some Pops, but I'll do whatever the masses choose.

it would be nice to do something since it would be my last free weekend before on start working weekends for a months.

I'll gladly attend, but someone else needs to organize it. Last time I organized one in OKC, at least eight people said they'd show up (plus three maybes), so we had a table reserved for ten, but only two showed up. I realize it was raining, but each person could have easily said they weren't gonna show up so we could have cancelled or adjusted our reservation.

Nice idea Julie.

A half way point is a great idea for those of us who live outside of Tulsa or OKC area and would like to attend more of the dinner events.

Currently have plans but if they change I will be there.

I have no problem organizing something in OKC if that is what everyone wants to do, like am with Webfoot in saying Pop's wouldn't be a bad idea, unless you guys have something else in mind. Just give me definite days and I will put it together if you want Julie.

pops on sunday sounds like a pretty good idea to me, but stroud isn't a bad idea either. i'd go along with whatever the majority decides.
