Miles on OEM tires?

Miles on OEM tires?
My car is about to turn 10k miles and the rear tires need to be replaced. How many miles did you get on the OEM tires? I will get another pair of the OEM tires for the rear this time with the hope that both fronts and rears will need replaced next time. Of course I will be going away from the OEM tires when I replace all four since I think they have low grip. I may just do that this time even though the fronts are still in good shape.

Theirs a thread about this somewhere in the website. People have had their OEM tires last for 30K+. My car came with tires that weren't for the S but did well. They have a treadwear rating of 400 so they will last me forever. That and I dont drive my car everyday. Most people say that you will go through 3 pairs of rears before you replace the fronts.

Yea, I'd say 10k is about right. S-02s are very high performance (and expensive) tires but have a very low treadwear rating.
When I bought my car, it had 12,900 miles on it and a fairly new set of Yokohama AVS ES100s on the rear, so I would say that the original S-02s probably lasted about 12k miles.

Replaced mine at about 11.5K. It all depends how aggressively you drive which determines how often you tires are replaced. We have a few in our group that have replaced their rears with under 10K and others at about 25K.
