Happened earlier about 3:30-4pm, been at my girlfriends for awhile.

Anyway was driving along 270 S. near hamilton rd. just a cpl miles from Easton,when I noticed a cop hit his lights and dart across 2 lanes of traffic only to stop right in the middle of the second lane from the right side to block a road alligator, lady in an Impala in front of me slammed on her brakes stopping just a few inches from the cop,I however wasn't so lucky and slammed into her about 20mph.


Ended up getting cited for failure to maintain a safe distance, which I feel is bullshit as I know I was a good 135ft. if not more from that lady and lay my ramming her on a delayed reaction on my part and anybody who has been in an accident knows a half second can completely change what happens.


I just would like to know what the officer was thinking in that a road alligator was a much greater hazard than him darting across traffic and stopping to block it.

Personally I think I was put at risk for something that my father said he saw laying there almost an hour before and the officer should be in some kinda trouble.

 

Wow man that sucks, but your right atleast it wasnt the s! Glad noone was hurt. As for a cop getting in trouble for something they do, that will never happen..

 

I'm just mad that the entire blame fell upon me.

 

What's a road alligator. Also, I got rear ended last week just past Easton on 270.

 

Road alligator is a piece of semi trailer tire.

 

I was about to ask why there was a gator in Ohio until I read this post

 

Road gator took out my grill a couple of weeks ago. Damn cheap truck tires. They should outlaw re-threads.
