That knob does seem to sit a lot higher than mine.
I like the grill, carpets and knob. That tan interior is still kick ass. It should come like that from the factory.

Re the knob - I have a quick and simple solution - no cutting, drilling etc
Everyone wants to know how I countersunk my oem titanium knob - I didnt - i just raised the boot to make it look like it is!
go buy some rubber washer from the hardware store - you might need between 5-10
with the knob removed - slide the washers down the shifter stick (inside the boot). They will only slide down so far as the shifter gets wider the further you go down.
I think I used about 8 on mine.....
the idea is that the washers stop the boot from falling down the shifter so far
replace the knob and it will *look* like it has been countersunk.
Try it - it works!
