That knob does seem to sit a lot higher than mine.

I like the grill, carpets and knob. That tan interior is still kick ass. It should come like that from the factory.
That's why your wife likes Scott's knob better

[QUOTE=Scott Evil,Feb 21 2005, 04:59 PM] ...Dave, I wasn't going to put anything on the grill, but it looked too plain.

Thanks Meeyatch. Exactly. I had a 98 GSR (sold it in 2000). I got it from the Acura dealership.

Re the knob - I have a quick and simple solution - no cutting, drilling etc

Everyone wants to know how I countersunk my oem titanium knob - I didnt - i just raised the boot to make it look like it is!

go buy some rubber washer from the hardware store - you might need between 5-10

with the knob removed - slide the washers down the shifter stick (inside the boot). They will only slide down so far as the shifter gets wider the further you go down.

I think I used about 8 on mine.....

the idea is that the washers stop the boot from falling down the shifter so far

replace the knob and it will *look* like it has been countersunk.

Try it - it works!
