Default Will pay for install

I don't have the time nor the tools to do this repair, but I need it done because I need this car sold, and no one wants to buy an S2000 with a bum rear window.

If I can get someone to come up or if I can meet them somewhere somewhat locally (Dayton/Springfield/Columbus area) to do this, I'll pay them of course. I'll buy the window and I'll leave you at it.

Any takers or those with experience want to give it a shot?

Edit: No, I refuse to pay $1k for a completely new top just for glass. If I can get a new top with glass *installed* for under $700 then I'm down, otherwise it's getting another plastic window.

not sure who you are directing your "edit" to, but coming on here and saying "I refuse" isn't going to get you very far....manors go much further. If it's out of your price range then that's understandable, but just say so.

You will need to go with the plastic since. I would charge 10 hours of labor @ $70 an hour. This is no quick easy job. That's 700 plus another seven hundred for a replacement full top and another 100 or so for the glass conversion. The plastic replacement will run you about 700 to 800 bucks.

The plastic window can be replaced retaining your current top. I am not sure who can do it in your area, but a new top is still in your best interest.

Yeah I wasn't trying to be an ass, I'm just kind of upset on how much these things are. I actually edited before anyone else posted, so it's not a response to anyone.

That's one reason I don't get into the tuning aspect of cars, I don't have the money to even keep pace with this stuff.

The rest of the top is in flawless condition, doesn't even have the wear signs that other tops that old have, with the tearing and ripping on the joints.

I guess if I wasn't trying to sell it, money wouldn't be that much of a big deal but I'm not putting any more money into this car besides the car note unless I have to, and anything more than $1k is far too much.

Thanks for the offers though, I guess I'll find some packing tape or a high heat gun and just melt the pieces back together....

The window itself is under $200.00 shipped.
