[QUOTE=ROGUE3308,Feb 4 2007, 05:53 PM] You could also counter this with a thread about people who put $8-$900 worth of rubber on their car but never even "sniff" the potential of those tires. IMO, that is a dumbass. I mean, driving 10/10ths on your way home for work requires some serious rubber.

I dont get this, People go out and spend thousands of dollars on a nice set of volk, work, etc wheels and put some garbage hankook or es100's on the wheels. I think the tires are a huge factor for the car because its the only part that touches the pavement.
For some it's all about the bling;
perhaps they would run a marathon with flip-flops on too

I don't see anything wrong with it. I plan on doing it to my Volks.
The rims dress up the car well by themselves...getting tires to match the value of the rims is bogus. The tires...meh....it's tires to me.
It has nothing to do with being cheap...tires change the handling of the car for better or for worst and that judgement is subjective to your own measurements of good or bad. I recognize two types of goals that drivers seek, some want to be fast grip drivers while some want to be good skilled exhibition driver ... exhibition would be towards car dynamics and handling gymkanna / Drifting and this is where Tire choice I think would be of personal preferance to the person behind the wheel.

Besides Popeye, I have never seen anyone who so badly needed a foot in their ass.
And the LMs are 18 rear 17 front. Larger rear tire as well. Nice pick up stupid.
