Where to get clutch delay removed?
I am sick of this stupid clutch delay on my AP2. It slips on a hard shift into 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th, and I'm sure it is melting my clutch into oblivion. I never had any problems with my clutch or diff after almost 70,000 miles on my AP1, so I would like to have the same setup. Where is a good place to have it done? I know the guys at Ganley would do a killer job, but that is a 4 hour drive for me. Is there anyone closer who can do it, or is it an easy enough job that I can do it myself? Maybe if there are enough people who want to do it, we can set up a day and do a bunch of cars at once...

i thought it was in there to prevent that?
When I had my AP1 I found the perfect mix of throttle and clutch feathering to allow the rear end to break loose without burning the clutch or sending a driveline shock to the diff. When I try to do this in my AP2, about 10% of the time the delay kicks in and the clutch just slips to redline

No, its there to prevent stupid drivers from grenading their diff by letting the clutch slip instead of sending power to the wheels in certain situations. Honda doesn't care if you roast your clutch- that is a wear item that the customer pays to replace. A broken diff, however, becomes a warranty issue. Even if Honda ends up rejecting the claim because the diff was abused, it still costs them time and money to inspect and fight it.

I didn't realize there was a way to avoid it.
