[QUOTE=Castor,Nov 15 2006, 02:41 PM] Unfortunately or fortunately in my opinion they are simply the best combination of looks, performance, proper offsets, name recognition, and cost (if you buy for a good deal or used).

Personally when I was searching for rims, it was more so I could have a second set for play and I would have considered pretty much all options as long as they had the right offsets and durability. I really like the looks of the Volks GT-U...they have the reputation, the look, and the quality that would have been hard to find in another brand which keeps me happy with them.
These are 18s and I am on stock suspension and it fits nice.
Not sure if I dropped it, I might have to roll the fenders to get the rear to tuck. It's pretty much flushed with the fender right now.

first question is what's your budget? $1500, $2000, $4000....there are so many hot wheels we could just keep naming them for days...here are mine, polished Work Meisters

Actually there are only one set of Volks that truly fit correctly. The 17" LE/CE28. The 18" Volks don't work so well.

After having the arguable the lightest 18" you can buy.... unless you really must have the 18" look, then I'd go with a 17" CE28 or TE37. If you feel like they are a little bland then get them in a crazy color. i'm still searching for a set of Ti Gunmetal 17" CE28 to trade. No rush since I love my TE's now... but I guess it's just a case of the grass always being greener.

Rich.. what wheels are on that last pic of your car? They don't look like the Kinesis or the Volks..
<--would love to pick up a set of LE37s in black w/polished lip... but I doubt it.. will probably stay stock .. $$$$
