Default What to do before storing for the winter

I'm planning to put my S in winter storage within the month and wondered what you'd all reccomend me do before doing so. It'll be sitting in the garage under its cover until may.

I suggest not storing it. Most of us drive them until the first salt of the year.

Once the boys come down off their Fall Colors high, we will probably hook up soon. You should PM OHIORACER or JonasM. I think one of those cats had a thread about winter storing the car. Now UBETIT will tell you 50% of what they say to do is useless, but we'll let you decide.

I appreciate the post - looks extremly thorough. I'd heard from the dealer the fuel stabilizer should be added, but i'm glad others say otherwise.

Pick up a filter and 6 quarts of oil and send me a PM. David1 or myself can help you with an oil change. Make sure you get a new crush washer too. I have plenty of Shin-Etsu for all the rubber seals and gaskets. Harbor Freight has a battery tender for $8. I also have plenty of the proper Honda antifreeze if you need topped off.

I parked mine the first two years for almost 5 months each winter. Last year I found a good number of days each month that I could drive the car. My car has still only seen 4 or 5 days of rain or bad weather and 2 of those were for the Dragon.

Rogue & Ubetit - would like to learn how to change the S's oil by myself. What oil do you all use in yours, and where should I get the Shin-Etsu?

If you're all doing me a favor for me like this I won't have a chance to show you what a big asshole I can be...

Have a good day boys.
