WARNING, Used 02 Suzuka at Honda East
Stay away from the used Suzuka Blue 02 S at Honda East. Has about 23k miles on it. This one has been driven hard and put away wet.
* Rear tires have cord showing
* Front tires are cracking
* Drivers seat has had a whole repaired and it is plain as day along with the padding that needs to be replaced
*Generally dirty car
*Windshield moulding is half off along the top.
I wonder what else has been neglected on this poor S
And believe it or not, it has been "Honda Certified" for $23,950. If this car actually went through the shop, I don't think my S will ever go there again. They always provided me excellent service work, but it was on specific items and services requested. BTW, a good amount of their certified Honda's are pretty rough. This makes me think that the used car manager is doing the certification and not a tech.

23k miles? On original tires? Not surprised the cords are showing.

I have the softop cover from that car..you guys are scaring me. I just bought a MY02 GPW from them, definitely not in that bad of shape though.
EDIT: I'm takin my car up to Jeff's in a month for a full days worth of fluid changes and an overall check. Maybe that will calm my fears.

I have never understood how someone could buy a car new and let it go to hell like that.
or
parents bought the car for them, and they do not tread it with such respect as if they worked hard to pay for the car!
just an idea

As I told David earlier today, I would be wary of the certified pre-owned vehicles (any make).
Dealers know they can make more on the car with this status and the risk is probably low that anything will occur.
When we bought the Audi S4 from MAG they did the Audi Assured certification to it. However, they said that this is becoming more difficult for them to give because of other dealers abusing it. Apparently, there were a number of large warranty claims coming back against these recently Audi Assured vehicles.
I think it is still safer to buy a vehicle with this status, but it does not always mean that it is any better than a vehicle without it.
