Two Months of Ownership

Two Months of Ownership
Well, I have had my S for about two months now and it has not been what I would call a dream. I have had CEL four times now. Changed out the spark plugs and rotated the coil packs for further troubleshooting, which seems to have fixed the misfires. Immeke Honda tried to charge me $51 a plug for them until I called NAPA in front of them and got quoted $12.
Next is the rear ender that I got into on a exit of 270. Girl in a 1992 Buick Century hit me while I was at a dead stop waiting for the light to turn. Hit me hard enough that I need a new rear bumper. Of course she was driving without insurance so I will have to eat my deductable until the company gets my money.
I also have gotten the hell scratched out of the front of the car from gravel trucks running down 33. Ownership has not been fun with this car. About the only thing that has gone well is my stereo. I through in a new HU and some speaker and a IPOD controller. Much easier to live with than stock. If anyone is interested in a cd changer, let me know. I have the mounting cage with it. It is the honda stock one.
Hope you all have had better luck with your S..........

Damn that sucks. Just sounds like a bout of bad luck. There's not much you could have done about the chick hitting you. I think pretty much all of us have the scratches and rock chips, which I try to keep to a mininum by leaving a lot more space between me and the car ahead. Is the S your daily driver?

One clutch ,1-1/2 sets of tires....29k Otherwise perfect
Sounds like a serious case of bad luck. I've had to repaint my door cause of a shingle off a roof, but I consider that a poor apartment experience, not car ownership. It should get better. Get for a good drive with some of us, and it should change your mind.

You would have thought the earth was opening up and ready to swallow itself when your clutch went.

Yeah, black was not the best choice for a daily driver. I used to work at the airport and was thinking of taking it to Tritex for a coating of the stuff that they use on the private jets there. The owner of the company put it on his A8 and it looked slick all the time. He said that he never washed his car, just rinsed it off. Not sure if it would help with the chips though.

Nope, I drove all the way to Defiance for it the day they posted it. I think I got the best deal with my trade in. It was perfect when I picked it up. I think I must have run over a mirror or somthing on the way home.
