Trouble w/Civic SI

I agree with your tech. Now every once in a while the start makes a loud "clunk" (technical term) when you first start it.
I still do not believe that the battery is the problem. It was replaced a year ago and the symtoms don't point to it.
I'm hoping it catches fire so I can afford to get a Toyota.

I see I've started a trend. First I see Airgate replaced his waterlogged Honda with a Camry SE, and now I see you will be doing the same
Camry SE V6 FTW!
(just ignore the fact that my radio stopped working properly and had to be replaced, the recall for the gas pedal part, the recall for the oil cooler hose, and the recall where they want to cut my gas pedal in half and remove the padding under the carpet )
Actually I'm still very happy with the car, but remember the grass is always greener...

Yes but does it start?

Hey Scoots....
This happened on my RL a number of times. The first time it was the lame OEM battery dying without warning. Sucky Delco OEM batteries. The second time (actually several times in a row in a short period) was a current draw from my trunk latch, which drained the battery.
If this happens again, you need to mention to the dealer
a) starter, as noted above
b) current draw from a device in the car
and they should be able to go from there. You shouldn't have to dump the car for something like this. It is aggravating to have such an intermittent problem. I was lucky to have an awesome Acura dealer to help me, I'd buy a fourth Acura from them if the new Acuras weren't so butt ugly (TSX excepted).

The piece of sh!t civc is brokedown again!!!
Tow truck is on the way!
Dealer tells me again that if it works when we get to the shop I have to pay the towing charge
That's it. I will never by another Honda again. They treat their customers like crap.
I got much better customer service from GM and Ford
Piss on Honda!!!!!!

Finally the dealer service people got to see what happens. They gave me a loaner and I don't want to see it again until it is fixed!
