Default Tranny Fluid?

What fluid should I be using in the tranny? Any suggestion?



Yes Popeye, I know that it should be manual transmission fluid but what brand?

GM sycromesh FM

FM = friction modified, make sure if your going to get it, its the FM version.


Switched from the OEM stuff and huge improvement. I'm a believer

I heard the redline products are pretty good too, but have no experience with them

Redline MTL is what I used and never had a hint of "notchiness"

The post-2006 Honda fluid is excellent as well.
