Ok, found the brand.

I use this stuff too. It goes on with an applicator so it does not splash everywhere. It does not run off onto your car as Rich suggests. The old Mequires spray on stuff I used to use would sling off on the car. This happened because it did not absorb and the 18s I had on the car stuck out so much, it slung the stuff all over the fender. I never had issues with the Volks throwing sauce all over the place. With gloass black tires, you have to keep your tires black. Also, with the applicator and gel, you can avoid getting it on the contact part of the tire. Unless you drive 10/10ths and you drive on your sidewalls.

[QUOTE=underESTIMATED,Aug 30 2006, 03:22 AM]I like the look of a jet black tire, however I don't like that shit all over my car afterwards.

When I detail my car, I let the dressing sit on there for several hours before I move my car.

The gel goes on dull and becomes glossy after a few minutes. You do not need to cake it on either. Just apply 1/10 of what Tim puts on his hair and you'll be fine.

I believe in "saucing" my tires, always!

The car does not look completely clean till the wheels are clean, the wheel wells black and the tires sauced!

Long live the SAUCE!

(I use eagle one tire dressing, but I am not real picky)

No, I just clean them really well and let them have the natural flat black look. I like the dark black, but not the shine.

I voted yet, but I only put Meguire's gel on the Acura. The tires on the Rio are so new, that i just wash them and leave them natural.....for now.
Yes, the gel will spray up the side of the car if you goop it on thick, that's why I wipe it down after a couple hours.
