I'm the jacka$$ that said my job at Honda was to deal with the *cough*stupid*cough* people at R&D and on the line to make something happen, but in the end we are stupid. Way wrong phrasing. Just another reminder why I should keep my mouth shut. Anywho, I looked dumb, and didn't mean to insult anybody, but probably did.
I need to have a talk with this guy when I get back in town.

Yeah, those dumb SOBs at R&D for putting out those record sales setting cars so that the profit sharing factory workers can get get fat bonus checks.

Down with them all, I say! They can take their non-profit sharing bonus checks (ie. 1/10 factory size) and shove them where the sun doesn't shine.

Guys, just wait till you drive the new Si! Yet another example of something that would not exist without your Ohio R&D boys!

I would like to invite all of you R&D "boys" to join me at Honda Marysville Auto Assembly line #2 on A shift and see how long you can hang with us "profit sharing factory workers who get fat bonus checks"!!!!! (this doesn't include Chase, who has the decency to be respectful of the REAL workers at Honda). As for the new SI - who the hell do you think builds the car? - surely not the OHIO R&D "BOYS", right? Just remember where you would be if it were'nt for the real workers - maybe right there with the other GM, Ford & Chrysler workers and their mighty union!

Guys, lighten up -- note the smiley face in my post. I didn't say anything bad about factory workers, I'm just jealous of thier bonus checks.

Everyone who works at Honda is important to the product that you can buy at the dealer, both R&D and the factory. Why lineworker (0 days old) thinks that only the factory has the "real workers" is beyond me. Cars don't build themselves and they don't design themselves either. Only R&D and AH have input into the concept of the car and it's packaging, and only the factory can execute those while maintaining Honda's high quality standards with the PITA designs that R&D sometimes comes up with.... but in the end it's the customers who benefit with great products.
