It's certainly a good idea to run a Carfax, but don't rely on it as the final word. A friend of mine in AZ bought a used S2000 with a clean Carfax. A few weeks later, he took the car out to an HPDE and was chunking a front tire badly. He took the car to get it aligned, and they could not get it to align to spec due to a bent control arm and a bent frame. Bummer, huh?

What used car dealerships aren't shady though? Just take the car one afternoon and have it looked over by a mechanic. If, infact it turns out to be a bad car, it's nothing out of your pocket. If you need me to go preview them for you, i'm fairly close to Clintonville where that lot is located.

Yes, I would have any used car checked out but I totally disagree about all dealers being shady statement.
There are definately levels of trustworthyness when It comes to used car dealerships. That is a buy here/pay here lot. All they sell to is suckers.
