Just saw this:

Dreyer and Reinbold Racing announced today that American driver, Graham Rahal, will replace the injured Mike Conway next weekend. He will drive the team's No. 24 Dad's Root Beer custom designed HOT WHEELS® entry for the Iowa Corn 250 at Iowa Speedway.

During the 94th running of the Indianapolis 500, Dreyer and Reinbold Racing pilot, Mike Conway, was involved in a horrific crash. With one lap to go, the Brit collided with Ryan Hunter-Reay, who had slowed to conserve fuel in order to finish the race. Unfortunately, due to the varying speeds between the two cars, Conway's machine launched into the catch-fence and disintegrated as it ran along the track. As a result, Mike was transported via helicopter to Methodist hospital where he was released last Friday. He had surgery that night to repair fractures to his lower left leg. Additionally, Conway has a compression fracture of one of his thoracic vertebrae and was fitted for a back brace, which he will wear for three months and will prevent him from racing. He is in excellent spirits and is on track to a speedy recovery.

While Conway is out of the seat, Rahal will step in to replace him next weekend. The American was the sensible choice for Dreyer and Reinbold Racing as he had a great showing at this year's Indianapolis 500 and has experience at Iowa Speedway. Also, he was the perfect fit to drive the team's Dad's Root Beer custom designed HOT WHEELS® car, which will be driven during the Iowa Corn 250 on Father's Day.

EAU CLAIRE, Mich. (AP) - A husband and wife took top honors for the second straight year at the annual cherry pit spitting competition in southwestern Michigan.

Rick "Pellet Gun" Krause, of Tuba City, Ariz., spit a pit 51 feet, 3 inches Saturday for his 16th win at the International Cherry Pit Spitting Championship. Organizers say Krause entered on a motorcycle, dropped to his knees in the spitter's box and ejected the winning pit.

His wife, Marlene, took first place in the women's contest, spitting a pit 34 feet, 6 inches. It was her seventh win.

The Tree-Mendus Fruit Farm, just north of the Indiana border, hosts the event. Orchard owner Herb Teichman launched the competition as a lark 37 years ago, but it now attracts competitors from the U.S. and beyond.

Patrón Highcroft Racing scored its third consecutive victory in the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón on Sunday with a hard-fought victory in the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Utah Grand Prix. Simon Pagenaud drove the final 1:45 in the team’s HPD ARX-01c, and the Patrón Highcroft crew took advantage of a quick final pit stop to beat Drayson Racing’s Emanuele Pirro to the line by 19.116 seconds at Miller Motorsports Park.
