Selling the S

Selling the S
I'm sure some of you are in shock right now, as I always said the S would be my long term car. However, she will be gone by next week. I am purchasing the CBR1000RR Repsol at Marysville Honda (the one you guys saw me drooling on at Mod Day). As much fun as it would be to have a modded S and a CBR, the girlfriend won't let it happen. She's not the greatest at driving stick and she won't even get on a bike with me. I had to make my choice. The S had none of the practicality of a car (no radio, no A/C, no storage space, can't drive it in rain or snow) and none of the speed of a bike. The S is going to a good friend for the payoff on the loan. That means I can still drive it and see it whenever I want :-) I will still be at meets when I have time, I'll just be on the bike.

At least now if you bite it while street racing, you will only hurt yourself and not others. Good investment.

Haha I figured you would say that Popeye. However, having a 500+ hp real wheel drive car with no radio or A/C and a bike isn't really practical. If it rains or snows I'm still stranded and I have 2 expensive toys to insure and maintain. The turbo stuff was sold last week to my friend Martin. He had a CRX with an F20C putting out well over 600hp, now he's getting an S2000 to do the build on. Yes part of the money from selling the turbo is going to a matching Arai helmet and Joe Rocket leather riding jacket (Repsol jacket of course). I guess I realized how much money was going towards the project, and a $12,000 bike straight off the showroom floor would still walk all over any turbo S. This bike with a lot less money in it will run low 9's and be capable of 200mph. I will be sure to post pics when I pick it up.
