Default Saw the funniest thing yesterday

There was a lunch time festival thing in front of the state house yesterday. (I work across the street from it). I was kind of buried most of the day and took notice as it was windign down. The saturn dealership(s) had soem cars on display including two Solstices (Solstici?). Two dealership people (wearing Saturn Golf Shirts) started putting the top up on one of the cars. No joke, I watched for over five minutes and the top was still not up. This reminds me of putting the top on the Jeep.

LOL! No wonder - the Saturn is a Sky - how on earth do you expect Saturn guys to get a top up on a Pontiac???

You took the words right out of my mouth, Dave. (As un-sanitary as that is!)

... and same funny story. You'd think that they'd have given it a dry run back at the dealership, but they probably figured "Hey, we're professionals. How hard can it be?"

I was at a charity golf outing about six weeks ago where one of the sponsors was a local Pontiac dealer, and they had several cars on display, including a Solstice. The dealership's sales manager, who played in the outing, had driven the Solstice to the course that day. You can imagine my amusement as I watched him struggle to put his oversized "pro" bag in the passenger seat, since it wouldn't fit in the trunk even if the top was up. If the top is down there's barely enough space for a small duffel bag. When I mentioned to him that I could manage to fit 2 regular size golf bags in the trunk of my S2K he had some weak comback about my car being $10K more. I guess for $21K GM couldn't afford to engineer any trunk space into the car.
