Rt. 26 Drive
#52
No kidding, 2 cars? Oh well, I'm still pumped. Since it's only us, I'm going to park closer to the front doors than usual at Salt Fork so I don't have to walk a quater mile. See you at 11.

Mark, How was the drive home? We took 550, which was a nice drive over to 555. Rt 555 was ridiculous. Lots of blind hills. Good tires and brakes are a must on that road. We didn't drive it real fast though since we had not drove it before. Sucked that where the road was closed that there was no detour posted. We took the 669 or 169 split (I forget the number) and weaved our way up to Zanesville. Definately think 555 was the better paved road and probably the more challenging road to drive. We didn't encounter another car the whole way, unlike 26. Anyways, enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again next year, along with a bunch of other people.

SR555 is a great drive. I haven't done it in about 10 years; long ago it was too narrow for a group drive. There was barely room for two cars to pass going the opposite direction in places; round a curve and find a truck coming the other way and life got real interesting. The motorcyclists loved it.
I've been told it was widened since then, which would make it a very desirable drive.
