I think we need to change this to the RT555 Drive

Are you up for mapping this out in the coming weeks?
I can take a look on the google maps then we can pick a Saturday or Sunday to go map it out in detail with driving notes (and perhaps some pics of landmarks to help aid lost drivers).

Gary, I voted for June 26/27. However, the August dates work for me also.
I can organize the side golf trip if needed, or help in whatever way you need. I always drive Rt 555 up and then play Longaberger on the way home

That's because ODOT has failed to maintain RT26 and the surface was horrible last year. Some of us here in Columbus have been looking for an alternative fun road to Marietta
We thought we had found it until this ~~http://www.whiznews.com/content/news/local...55-construction

Looks like I'll be making a scouting run after all.
I'll keep you guys posted. If anyone has any suggestions that will still get us from Marietta to Zanesville (we've got lunch set up there), please let me know!
I'd also like to know how Rt 26 is this year. While far from perfect, it was still scenic enough to be a nice drive last year, especially after folks already got their thrills on 555.

Rt. 60 is very very straight, flat & boring (much of it's along the river). For a start, I've mapped out a route that takes us up Rt 26, then takes a left about 10-12 miles up, meanders around some curvy-looking roads until you hit Rt 78. Take a left, cross I-77, turn right to go north on SR 284. I've taken 284 before to Zanesville, and it's scenic, at least.
I plan on doing a scouting run either Memorial Day weekend or the weekend of the 12th.
