Honestly this car has provided me with very few annoyances. While the Dealer has kind of sucked, in general the car has been trouble free. I complain about this stuff, because I try to save a buck and fix it myself and usually make things worse. No German engineer can compensate for that.

In the end I am smarter for the experience. Now, why won't the seat lumbar deflate?

scotty, are you sure they're inflatable sub-sections?

in our S8, the entire section would slide in and out via servo motors (you could hear them).

Yea, its just a motor that pushes out. It will expand, but not retract. I fiddled the with switch and it finally did. I assume the switch got wet or is dirty. A little d-ox-it should help--assuming I don't mess that up.

An entertaining story while I am stuck in Houston for several hours, waiting for the next flight. Crossing my fingers that my standby turns into a seat.
Thanks for the read Scott!

funny thing about reputation, heresy, and bias(es).....

having had an S8 for 2 years, we had nary a problem.

there were a couple of super minor things ...... (i once had an S4 for 3 days) for as long as it takes to get your car back to you...
If any of my 2 year old Hondas were in "service" for 3 days I would trade them afterwards....immediately

Obviously this has never happened....3 days in service is minor
