In your case Popeye, it would be the seat, since you sit down to go.

Thanks for holding place for me here Ray. As most of us know by now I accused an unknown vandal of stealing my oil filler cap a few weeks ago. Drove home and spewed oil in my engine compartment pretty good. Mysteriously my car developed a rattle at 3500 RPM. I of course then suspected that the vandal through something in my valve cover, like a penny or something.

Long story short it was a Ray moment, or a Ray few weeks more like it. The rattle was the oil cap. It had come loose, fallen off and wedged itself between my transmission and the tunnel. At certain RPM it began to vibrate and was causing the noise.

There Ray, happy now?

My latest "Ray moment" came over a period of about a week.

One Saturday afternoon I found a rather large screw embedded in the tread of my (flat) left-rear tire. Sunday, I discovered that Discount Tire was closed, so I had it "high-performance" plugged at NTB, took it home, and put in on the car. The following Thursday the tire was low, so I removed it and confirmed that it was leaking at the plug. I dropped it off on Friday afternoon for pickup in Saturday. I arrived Saturday to find that it was indeed repaired, but it was mounted backwards. They fixed that pretty quickly. When I got home and put it on, I discovered there are no balance weights on the wheel. I'm unwilling to trust that it just happened to be in perfect balance when they remounted it, so I think I'll have to take it somewhere else for a balance.

No more "Tire Kingdom" for me.

No , I meant porch. Like off the front porch where most WV folk maintain their used car parts.
