I got my MY04 on the 22nd of November of last year. I had a week of 70s weather before the snow started to fly. I then took it out of storage week of New Year's because of the 60 degree weather.
Then, in February it came out for good (early I think), and haven't had a problem since. I'm young and stupid, so if the weather is 35 or higher, I think I had the top down on this car. Big leather jacket, windows up, heater on. I wasn't cold at all.
Winters can vary around here, but overall I think 3 solid seasons is very possible.
Get the car, you'll love it.

My only advice is don't buy it at the end of the season. Why? Because you'll almost immediately have to put your new baby into storage for the winter, and it's TORTURE knowing you have the car but can't drive it.

not to sound cold, but if you want to maximize the s2k, move.
i know that's a harsh reality to living in ohio, but it's one that all s2k owners here face.
having said that, i hope next summer has many great dry weather days

It is the tires and the compound they are made from that prevents most rear wheel cars from doing well in the snow. The S2000 actually drives very well in the snow... with blizzak or dunlop snow tires. Check out the Canadian forums. A lot of guys drive the S year round and they get a ton more snow than we do.

I agree with Ubetit, snow tires would make it possible to drive the S year round. The only other thing I would add to the list is a hard top. See Hardtopguy on this forum.

Yeah, hardtop and snow tires, and you've effectively made this car a year round beast.
I don't think most of Ohio is in a region where you should move to maximize the benefits of the car. Granted a lot of times you'll get days with sun and rain, but you'll have that everywhere, except maybe SoCal. And our winters outside of the snowbelt are very manageable (i have no experience living in the Cleveland area).
I dont' think Ohio is one of those states where you can't buy a convertible sports car and enjoy it. My opinion, of course.
As for living in Tiffin, do your friends go to TU or Heidelberg? If it's TU, PM me some of there names, I might know them.
