Ohio S2000 Community TENSION
It has been brought to our attention that there is some tension here in this community. I personally feel, that when an admin has to get involved things must be serious. I can understand the frustration the CO's, moderators, and admins undertake on a daily basis. We have thousands of members, each has their own personality - online and offline. Each member of the site and community has a goal. This goal might be entertainment, whoring, friendship, enjoyment of the s2000, meets and events. Whatever your goal is, is your own choice, but keep in mind if you are apart of a local community, you have to respect each other, respect the goals of the community, and work towards enjoying the community as a whole. Everyday, potential new members are lurking in the back ground. If these new members see the tension, or the view the level of maturity as zero, then they won't join the community and possibly not buy the S2000. Don't bring down a community with the tension that is apparent. Do not keep pushing buttons, or post whoring.
To give you some background as to what a Community Organiser is and why they are here:
Developing a club "Community"
Maintain the membership list
Contact potential members you see on the street and online *build the club)
Develop relations with local sponsors and dealerships
Take the lead in organizing local or community events
As a CO you should be dedicated to the community and the S2000.
You will have a sense of accomplishment by organizing events and having your club membership flourish.
S2K International did not set up any communities, we did not appoint the CO's, they are not under direction or pressure from us. Ohioracer is the original CO of this group, and I suggest if there are real concerns over how he does his job you contact us. But I doubt this will happen. In every club there are the doers and then there are the ones yelling from the bleachers how to do things, but they dont'get off their butts and lift a finger.
Last, respect your community, do not devalue your community with all this nonsense. We have forums set up for post whoring. Use them. If you want a nonsense thread to bond with your fellow community friends, set one up...
BTW, I like beer to, but I do not see a need to post this in every thread that I visit. Likely if I fell this strong about my favorite things in life, I would put it in my signature.
Anyway, this thread is not a discussion thread. It is not a thread to point fingers. Go have your beer, come back tomorrow, with a new refreshed attitude.

No, it's obviously not a joke.
I've been away a while - first on vacation, then my company sent me to training for a week, so I haven't had the time to do more than glance at the posts lately. There have been a lot of threads hijacked into silliness lately (I was going to post in the thread about it, but it got locked before I had the time), and a lot of bad feelings because of it. Carmen (quite correctly) tried to cool things down a bit, and I think it bruised some egos.
Relax, everyone - read HondaGal's post, and decide if any of it applies to you. If so, take it to heart as constructive criticism. If not, don't worry about it. We've got a great bunch of people here, but we're still guests on someone else's servers (regardless of whether we paid or not). There are rules of conduct that keep a forum like this interesting and welcoming to others. Let's abide by them.
Get out and drive for a while! I think I'll drive the S to work today!
