Ohio Eliminates Front Plate Requirement
The Ohio Legislature passed the transportation budget and included in the legislation is the elimination of the front license plate effective July 1, 2020.

It's about time! I'll have to see if I can find some plugs on my daily driver and remove the license plate bracket as its been scratching up the paint pretty badly.

Honestly, I could care less about the front plate since two of my cars don't have them (classic cars), but the $100 tax on my Accord hybrid sucks a@@. Ohio has to be one of the worst states in trying to get their residents to conserve fuels - there are no state incentives to go solar, wind, ng, etc, at your home, and now they tax hybrids and electric cars. At least my county doesn't already have any additional on car registrations.

With the virus keeping the state legislature out of the state house they may not get to pass the repeal of the license law.

I thought the law passed both houses and was signed into law in 2019 with an effective date of 1 Jul 2020. No so?
